The best way to become a member, is to join our slack and order a shirt.

Slack is how we connect, plan trips, and share insights into local climbing resources. 

If you want to join in the Athens Climbing community, 

Sign up for the slack workgroup, 

add it to your phone and computer, 

change the notifications so you get alerts, 

and create a profile on the profile page. 

Then say hello in the slack community chat channel

As of August of 2023-- you get a shirt and a lifetime membership for 

student $30 

non-student $40.

Climb Athens is a member serving non-profit (501c7).  Our mission is to 

     Foster climbing community 
     Improve access and quality of climbing resources
     Encourage healthy lifestyle in the Athens County area 

Currently, our major projects are to provide direction and volunteer labor for the sustainable development of climbing and bouldering resources in the SE Ohio area.  The organization is run by member volunteers, and we encourage new people to join as members and help out.    

Climb Athens Members & Supporters Will…

- Pay membership dues annually

- Attend a minimum of 5 Climb Athens Events or meetings

- Volunteer at one Climb Athens Event or two community events annually

We have a board composed of two co-presidents, treasurer and board members at large.  We are holding an election for at least 5 board positions this summer.  We are also seeking informal organizational representatives from local and regional universities, high schools, climbing clubs, and climbing gyms.  

Board members are elected by Climb Athens membership, please join to help set our goals!  All members are encouraged to contribute to activities and roles as they are able.  Active membership last for one year, starting from the date of payment/completion of the membership form.
